Issac Hayes, Dead At 65…wow

wow… {{{{{sighs & shakes head}}}}}

So, early this morning Issac Hayes passed away. A smooth crooner, best known for the title song from the movie “Shaft” in the 70’s and other 70’s hits. He was also the voice of one of the characters on the adult cartoon “South Park”. Mr Hayes was found dead by the side of his treadmill early this morning. What a tragic loss, he was 65 years young and will be missed. This directly on the heels of Actor/Comedian Bernie Mac passing yesterday (Saturday) morning.

Did you know that both Issac Hayes and Bernie Mac have roles in the upcoming movie “Soul Men” which is set to be released in November 2008?

Issac Hayes had a voice that was second to none. As a tribute to the late great R&B legend please enjoy this video of one of my favorite Issac Hayes songs.
Issac Hayes, RIP…

    Regina that was such a shock. My prayers goes out to his family. You no Mr. Hays did not embrace our Lord Jesus Christ he was a believer in Scientology and I don’t know what that entailed. My favorite song by Issac was I Stand Accused. I am talking about the long version. Growing up in the 70s this was my jam and I had it on a 8 track player. He will be miss.

    Frightening isn’t it? People are dying younger and younger. 50 and 65 are not THAT old in the scheme of things. Makes me glad I was able to spend some time with my 85 year old grandmother recently.

    Hello there!Thank you for remembering Isaac Hayes….he was a different kind of brotha…he was pro-black at a time when black men were trying to be Barry “the good black” Obama in order to reach their goals in life…and he was a man’s man…he was not afraid to portray a different type of black masculinity…People think Michael Jordan was fashionable with his bald head look…please…Isaac was rocking a bald head with his sexy self when Michael was still in diapers! *LOL*Thank you for remembering a unique man…his life journey was not in vein…he will be remembered with much respect by millions…Peace, blessings and DUNAMIS!Lisa

    So sad to both losses. They were both so talented, and so relatively young.However they both lived their lives doing what they loved, which I believe is a life worth living.
