Joy & Pain For The Holidays…

December, December, December.
December has been my favorite month forever. Christmas is my absolute favorite Holiday. Ornaments, lights, snow, family and endless viewing of Christmas movies! What better way to celebrate the Savior’s birthday than to surround yourself with family, have fun and enjoy life. This is my favorite time of the year. To top it all off my precious little Princess has a birthday next week! The Princess will be TWO YEARS OLD next week! Wow, the time has flown by. December should hold so much joy…

But my heart is heavy and getting heavier every day.
I have a deep sadness growing, and it is getting stronger every day.
It’s like walking through deep mud that is quickly turning to cement. Every step, every day is pulling harder. It is getting harder to make it through. I feel stuck in this hardening mud and I can’t move…
By the New Year, life for my family will have been changed drastically… again.
Change is NOT always good… or is it?

I ask God the questions…
When will the tears stop flowing?
When will the pain go away?
When will it stop hurting?
When will it be alright?

The answers…
***silence***

So while I wait for things to get better I enjoy the Princess. She runs, she jumps, she plays, she screams, she eats the candy canes off the tree, she rearranges the garland on the tree, but her sweetest moment is when she sleeps…

You already know I’m feeling the same way. I am usually so happy at this time of year- I love Christmas. But instead of feeling happy I have a heavy heart too.You know my email if you want to talk about the drastic changes coming. Either way, I’m praying for you!

While in the season of change [or just before it] it can be down right heart wrenching, but God is faithful and hears you. I suppose that His answer may be to wait. I pray for your inner strength and for your faith to rise to new heights. Let God build you up moment by moment…day by day. Then, one day [hopefully soon] you’ll gaze up and see the clouds have cleared, and yes, it’s a new day.
