Direct TV On Blast Again!!!

Well, I have to put DirecTV on BLAST again! If you missed my first DirecTV post go HERE and check it out!
The weather here in Texas has been extremely windy all day. We have had winds up to 30mph so far today. So anyway… My satellite dish is on a tripod in the back yard, because where I live it would cost an extra $100 to have them attach it to the roof. So about a hour ago my satellite stopped working. After resetting and checking the coaxil cables my son looks out in the backyard at the dish and low and behold it is lying on the ground! Yep, the wind knocked it right over! He picks it up, dusts it off and we try to rest everything again. Well it did not work!
So I call DirecTV to explain what happened and the fool on the phone tells me that they will have to send out a technician some time next week and it will cost me $49.95 for the tech to come out and then pay for the time he is here AND if they need to replace the dish I will have to pay for that too!!
WTH!! It’s not like I blew the darn thing over!!
DIERCTV is really out of their minds!

So I guess you already know….
I am CANCELING my DirecTV!!
Since we are not under contract with them anymore and the last bill was just paid last week there should be no problems…

    Your experiences with Direct TV sound similar to those I have with Sprint. I mean I have to talk with them about my bill about 3 times a year for one reason or another. Like a $12,000 bill (yep that’s 3 zeros behind that comma). I’ve gotten so use to dealing with them that I keep them just for comic relief cause “you can’t make this stuff up”.

    We are so done with DIRECTV too…our case was asking for a discount since we have their service since 1994. Early this year we called them we want same service at 10$ less. Guess what they offer, 29.99$ ea month for a year and it’s for basic. Yeah after 14 years never miss a payment they can’t give us anything. So- DIRECTV ba-bye.

    Okay, come close to your monitor…I HATE DIRECT T.V.I was watching the game last week and it stopped, same thing, dish just blew over.GET CABLE GIRL!!

    Thanks! I’m staying clear of this company, and don’t care how many sports channels they can broadcast.
