Yea, Yea, I’m Still Here!!!!

Some of you may have noticed the drop in my posting and the virtual stand still of my commenting, even though I did manage to make it around to all of my Old School Friday people!!!! I’m still here, just been a little bit busy!
I do apologize for the lack in Blogworld participation. I hope to get back on the right track very, very soon.
What have I been doing??? Well I am glad you asked!! Besides school (uugghhh!) I found a new pass time that is practically consuming all of my time. I am on Ancestry.com trying to track down my relatives and building a family tree!! It is frustrating and exhilarating all at the same time! My mom and I are working on it together and she is totally enjoying telling me all about the family history. For me it is like doing a puzzle and trying to get all of the names and dates and people to fit in properly! If any of you have ever played Tetris (which I absolutely love!) then you know the feeling of getting the sides built up and getting frustrated and then all of a sudden you get that one long piece you have been waiting for and everything just seems to fall into place. Well that is how this has been for me.
Yea, I even fell short on my on goal for the Black History Month postings but I have been knee deep in my own black history!!
I will be back to regular blogging very soon (Yes, I Promise!) really!

Sounds like you’re busy and I totally understand. The things you’re doing are very worthwhile and I can’t wait to hear about the family tree and more!

Oh I think what you’re doing is much more worthwhile. Documenting your family’s history is something that I have devoted quite a bit of time to myself. Not only does it put the right people in the right place on the family tree, but it really does something for you personally. For me it has truly been a spirit enhancing project. Each time I locate a new relative and read about their life, I just feel a bit more whole.

Do what you need to. Besides, every blogger has seasons of jumping in and other times when we hold back for various reasons.Glad to hear about the family tree. My cousin did ours years ago and I remember her gathering all the information.
